Mono Shock

Subject: Mono Shock
Was just watching Desert Collectors, on 7 mate. There was an old guy in Australia with every Vincent motorcycle ever made. He showed a 1952 model which was the first Mono Shock bike. And he was saying that the latest Harley with the Mono shock is a copy of the 1952 Vincent.

Yeah. I had a mono shock Yamaha XV 750 way back 35 years ago. So the old mono is nothing new. Actually the Yammy was also air assisted.

Lots of changes to frames and suspension in that era Steamer, wow
some weird shit was happening right up to 1955.

Vincents sure did punch out the numbers from series "A" to series "D"
but the the post 50 models where not renowned for handling or fucking
stoping for that matter.

Monoshock suspension allowed for double the length of suspension
travel, perfect for motocross.
