After I sold the 2001 Road King (story is on this website somewhere) I languished for 8 months, wondering what to do next!!!! So, went out and bought a 2009 V-Rod, the very first Harley I ever rode some 17 or so years ago at what was then called Harley City (now Northside Harley). I purchased the Northside owners bike, an immaculate VRSCAW. The issue I now faced was that almost all the original team I used to ride with had moved on to other toys. Bikes sold on orders from the ball and chains, so here I was, only one other original left, riding a Guzzi. In March, we headed off to the Barossa to meet up with his mate "Skull", a Vietnam Vet of no mean dimensions and character. Had a ball and bike took it all in its stride. Incredibly fast, excellent handling but seating was not even close to the RK. Anyway, to the point; I live in the inner Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and I'm wondering if any members of this illustrious crowd of HD riders/owners is interested in organising a club or regular riding sessions in the near future. I was going to advertise the suggestion in the local five minute silence, but decided this may prove more successful. One can only hope! The V-Rod needs to be ridden reasonably often, otherwise it deteriorates badly (or so I have been told on good authority). If there are any takers or suggestions, it would be appreciated.
