Yeh Dinger, I don't care what people call me, I always use my screen on the longer rides. Takes strain off the neck & shoulders.

Yep, I totally agree.

Screens make a HUGE difference, not just a small difference.

The only time I have tried a screen was when I took a road glide for a test run, other than that never had one I suppose you just get used to the buffeting from the wind

I'm quite partial to a fairing but found the full screens used to make me do the Mr Noddy impersonation.
With the fairings, screens are cut down to allow the wind to hit the face but the body is protected.

The screen on my RK sits against the wall most of the time but on a trip , especially in the cold they are great. The thing I don't like about them is the reflected glare. There is a lot of chrome on a bike and the sun finds everyone at the wrong time. When I went looking at the '18 range was told about the told about the flash , super expensive blacked out RK but the forward components which is in the sun's sights is fucking gloss black.

Cant say Ive ever noticed any glare , may be different on some models or rider height as I look over the top of it .

Never had a screen.
But find myself thinking about it a bit these days.

I just adjust my riding position to compensate for the drag.
Rode hungover once, and forgot about the riding position, and paid for it.
Just lean forward slightly, and use the body core muscles to take the weight off the arms.

Works a treat when Im not hungover, and have never had any dramas when Ive done it right.
Even on an 800km ride in a day.

Going from the Road Glide to the FatBob had made me realise how great screens are.

Already thinking of going back to a bagger with a screen.

The batwing and screen on the Street Glide is great....
Without it I would be considering whether to keep riding or not

Going really well I reckon.
Each day brings a bit more mobility and flexibility.
Still very much in pain.
Tried reducing the doses last week.
Found the main painkiller Targin has a 14 hour life in the system.
At 14 hours from the morning dose, I intended skipping the evening dose, I realised it was a stupid idea.
Took another Targin and a couple of straight endone to top me up.
will give it another week or so before I try that again.

Cheers

Rob

I have a screen but I am happy with just a visor on the helmet, just like the feel of the wind
probably and I also hate the wind buffering which is a pain so the screen just sits their gathering
dust.
