Post January 2014 Bike Of The Month Award - Robo & Nel

Sorry I am late with the artwork for this month, but anyway . . .

I Present on behalf of the BOM team, Robo & Nel's Photo Award page & the Winners Interview

Congratulations to Robo and Nel for December 'Bike of the Month'

Remember, the first Version of the award is for everyone in the Forum to expand, look at, and read.

Then followed by a copy of the Presentation in A4 format so the winner (or anyone else) can print out their own A4 print for framing or whatever.

Also included is a third version. A larger high quality version for printing as a photograph at Harvey Norman or other Photo printing outlets in 11" x 14" or  16" x 20"  Format.
It gives the Winner a High Quality Photo to frame and hang.

The Photo Awards are followed by Robo's famous 'Winners Interview' except in this case Robo was the winner, so Rxes had the honour of interviewing Robo and Nel.

A MOMENT WITH ROBO Rxes

NELLY'S & ROBO'S INTERVIEW.

Well .. this month’s interview with the bike’s owner is a bit different due to the fact that Beryl / Nelly owns what Robo rides.

Their Responses to the question are colour coded as:

# Nelly's Response
* Robo's Response

*****************************
The Interview
By Rx.
===============

Ok .. G’day to you both Nel & Robo .. & congratulations on wining the second group of second chance BOM.

Let us start by confirming .. Nelly, you own the King & Robo is your chauffeur?

# Yes, I own the Roadking. Pay for the Rego and Insurance and General Up keep. While the ''Chauffeur'' like to take all the credits.
* ......You wanted it. You pay for it. Get a license and it's 100% yours.

Ok than .. Now, with Robo being a Chauffeur that would explain the obsession he has with his jeans needing ironed creases .. it‘s part of his chauffeur costume, along with his goat skin chauffeur hat.
So Nelly, do you feel like a queen sitting up in the arm chair of the King being chauffeured around the country side?

# He is a hay seed. I've never heard of any other man that requires his Jeans ironed the way he requires. With the crease down the front of the legs. Even for work. Jeans must be ironed. I had enough of doing his jean once and demanded if he required Military creased jeans. Do them yourself. After a couple of days he was bared for life from my iron.

      ... Yeah .. righto .. How did you come to decide upon the King?
Was it all your choice Nelly, or was Robo whispering sweetly “I want I want I want” in ya ear?

# No, It was my choice. I loved the colour. We took a Standard RK for a test ride and it was fantastic. Compaired to the lowered Softail. When the CVO came in. I wanted it.
* Yeah. I had to ditch me friggen sweet as Softy to get the bastard.....

But ya still grinning .. We know the King was purchased new .. How many Km’s have been clocked up?

* It's just ticked over 7thou in 12 months....It doesn't get out and play much with the Softy sitting in the shed....Only ventures out when it'sBerylNels on the back.........And. We only ever get one weekend off in 5 were we see each other. For the RK to go for a run somewhere......Other the that. Just little blates around the block.....Bout a 40km run. To keep things lubed.

That's good, so when you're out & about on the King, at what pace do you like cruising & viewing your holdings?

# I like a little faster then the limit. But I do remember one day coming home from Bilo and I thought we seemed to be traveling a bit fast. I looked over his shoulder and he was doing 160kmph.
* Yeah......I like to ride to hows I feels....But mostly 10% more then the limit...

Yep .. We all like to do that little bit more     .. What's the longest trip you have done on the King?

# Emerald.
* Emerald.......That's about a 800km round trip.

That's not to shabby .. Sitting upon the throne, what do you do to pass the time between waving at the commoners?

# I love looking around the country. You seem to see more on a bike. Weird I know.

Do you have any alterations in mind ?? For the King .. not Robo .. (we haven’t the time or space      )

# Take them horrible Handlebars off it. That he got fitted without my knowledge. And authority. I would also like floorboards style foot rest. And one of them Intercoms fitted.
* Bllllaaaahhhhhaaa...Intercoms. Don't think so sister........

I have an intercom fitted .. Wifey says it's great on the long trips, it breaks the boredom .. I can also turn her mick off     .. Is this Steed a keeper, or are you looking to trade in for a newer model ??
Either the King or Robo?

# I would like to keep it. I don't get on enough to get bored with it.
* Street glide will be it's replacement if we ever decide ditch it.....

Mmm .. Ok .. We know Robo likes a soft rear end .. Do you share his likes or do you prefer the firmer ride?
Do you like it soft or hard?

# Soft.
* Blondes....

It is the Forums consensus that the reason you chose the CVO is that it came with all the extra bling which needs constant polishing which in turn will keep Robo busy in his spare time & to kerb his goat chasing habit .. is this correct?

#   He doesn't wash it. That's my job.
* Once again......Blondes.

Ok .. now Robo .. You have mentioned how light & manoeuvrable the King is .. What’s the most pleasurable aspect of riding the King?

* The extra power. But the Softy will have it covered soon. I like the bastards for cruising that's for sure.....Them baggers kills the Softies in that avenue.

Gotta love extra power .. The Apes look the part .. and rumour has it that you told Nelly it was purely for comfort, looks and a better ride ability, but Nelly told us that the fact of the matter was that the higher bars allowed you a better view of certain four legged creatures with horns , ( and we ain't talking cows here either ) , that reside in certain paddocks in your area , your answer to this Robo?

* I like to see what's happening in other paddocks...

So what age do you prefer your Goats? . . . ummm . . . as a pet of course!

Robo response : Yearlings......

Righto .. back on track .. Are there any more changes planned ?? (with the Bike)

# Handlebars.
* No .. I wouldn't mind a new pillion....

You're a game man Robo .. Anyway .. There is something about your King .. both times now it has been a vote for vote BOM .. exciting stuff. Is there anything that you would like to say to your subjects that voted for it so often?

# Thankyou for all that Voted for my bike. It's good knowing that other people see it as a fine looking machine.
* I got fuck all to say other then.....Lets see how it fairs up against the Electron

Any second last words Robo?

* Nels one lucky women.........................

Any last words Nelly?

# Yeah. I'm lucky alright. Lucky I found this site.

Ok .. The BOM Team THANK YOU for your time & give congratulations again on your BOM win.

Rxes, a top quality interview. You matched the master for sure.
Nel, I gotta say a fine performance and quick and smart answers and you DO hold your own with Robo. I guess you have had some practice livin with the man, and someone has to be in control in that household.
Robo, well Robo you still have what it takes, but if I were you, I'd continue doin what you are doin and do as you are told.
We know who wears the pants in that family. Good onya Nellie.

Congratulations to both of yas, a fine bit of machinery and something ya both can be proud to own.
Well done

rotfl_01 I have read encyclopedia's worth of literature on the net, I can say in all honesty, I have never read anything remotely comparable to as funny as what I have just read. I probably never will.

Unreal you know Bluey.....People whinge and whine about the crap that goes on in this Forum. They fuck off because some of us like to have a sense of humour and a bit of a stir and a laugh. And now when something totally Harley like this Thread. With all the hard work you fellas put into it. People can't show some appreciation of the effort that goes into these presentations......Really has got me fucked.
I think I need a smoke.
