A MOMENT WITH ROBO

Firstly Gypsy. Congratulations on taken out the November bike of the Month. Secondly, Do you mind being called Gypsy.....I'm running short on ink..

 * I've gone by Gypsy since I was 15 years old. Damn... Over 30 years. Doesn't seem that long.

 Ok....Tell us a bit about your ride mam.

* Not long after they took my arm, we were on vacation in Florida & I decided to go to Daytona & look up a cuple of old friends. One of them (Marcus) was riding a sweet rigid & when I asked, he told me he built it. Needless to say, as soon as I got my settlement, he got a phone call. Long story short, "Chump Change" was the result.

Chump Change     Looks like it has some serious mods. Any more mods in the future planned for that hard arse..

* Nope. Marcus built me the bike I'd been dreaming of for years. As far as mods, the only serious one is the Autoclutch. I also have a Mert Lawwill riding hand.

 Like here in sunny Qld were the men are men and the goats knows exactly who is in charge and so does the NSWelshmen....Rigids just ain't the done deal. Unless the are BMX. Then they ride em on the Highways. Roads must be fairly smooth over your neck of the woods.

*You mean the goats are nervous! Yeah, the roads here are pretty much all paved. They're mostly good, but a lot need repairs.

Nervous....   I swear I had to ride me ol Softail home some 200km as a rigid once when me Air shocks failed on me....Dam by the time I got home and got off that thing me backbone was 4 inch shorter and I could just about lick me own aggotts. About 1/2 inch off to be exact. You have much troubles with ya back.

* Surprisingly enough, after being hit twice & doing all kinds of other crazy shit over the years, I never managed to fuck up my back. I DID bust my hips all to hell in that last one, though. I imagine that'll put an end to my riding eventually.

 How long have you had the beast.

* Got her titled on December 31st 2010 & trailered her back from Florida the next day. At that point I hadn't ridden in 3 years & was NOT ready for a road trip!

 Titled...Is that like a naming ceremony.. Never mind. Is it a keeper or are you like ol mate here who likes to change bikes like me undies.

* Definitely a keeper. She'll be my last ride most likely.

 Have you ever run it down the 1/4 strip for a bang.

* Not yet.

 Me ol mate Walker had a Springer.....We called it the Bussa slayer...It was a prime ride. Evil thing it was. Them Springer sure do have some class.

* The springer was a must.

 Ok.....I notided in one of ya clips there is some sort of rag or something hanging from the bars mam.....Is there a story behind this.

* Just a bandana I keep there for if I spill gas when I top her up. Easy to do when you're working with one hand.

 Does the sprung seat offer much comfort.

 *It's not bad. It's bouncy as hell, though.

 Does ya do all ya spanner work....Like who created the frame.

* The frame is a Paughco wishbone. However, I do all my own maintenance with a bit of help from Butch (my ol' man). He hates mechanic work but he doesn't mind helping. Me, I love turning wrenches. I was a certified A & P (aircraft) mechanic. Guess I still am but, you can bet, nobody's hiring old one-armed bitches to work on 'planes & 'copters.

 Ok.....It sure is a sweet ride. We got some good support in the Votes. Neck and neck to the end. Had some ol dummy spitters even come back and supported this BOM. Fantastic display..It's one of the best things about this Forum...Something not to many of Forums operate is a BOM. The layout is second to none..Bluey Ken and Rxes needs a Lager don't you think.

* They need ten! Great job, guys!

 Would you like to spend 30 seconds with Robo.

* Sure, why not... As long as you leave your goats at home!

 Cool......There is some questions I'll leave until then then...

* Just give a yell.

 Ok Gypsy.....It was a great BOM...Thankyou for entering your stead into the comp...Even though I ran second to you, it still was a pleasure. On behalf of the BOM team. I would like to thankyou. On behalf of the Forum. I would like to thankyou for your support.
 So Gypsy mam......Once again. Congratulation for taking out this Months BOM. Enjoy the fruites of winning. Enjoy and thankyou.
 Nuff said.
 Roboooooooo.

Good questions and great answers.
And a bloody lovely ride. Here's to you Gypsy for many more years of ridin.
You've got guts, you've got determination, you've got style. You'll be ridin long after many of us have hung up our helmets.

Well Done Gypsy !!!
