Good post Ken .
Plenty to do around here . 100 year old weatherboard house so always doing stuff , painting and maintenance etc .
Also , I’ve got a stack of old hand planes and vintage tools that need a sympathic restore before they’re added to my collection .
And there’s always Netflix ( until they knock that on the head too ) .

Not sure wtf is going on around these parts atm. Been on the road and havent taken much notice of the madness that was unfolding. Heard about borders closing and the self isolation thingy etc while at Junee so we made a mad dash for home to hopefully avoid self isolation, Junee to Tamworth then Tamworth to Imbil, about 1600 klms via the New England i believe, will see what this crazy world looks like in the morning, maybe we'll just hit the road again

Pretty simple really . Stay at home unless you have to get food , grog , go to work , to the doctor or chemist . Don’t congregate in groups and stay away from other people with a bit of distance .
Remember , these new rules are being enforced because people ignored the repeated requests to do the right thing in the first place . That’s one of the principal reasons hundreds of thousands of workers have just lost their jobs overnight .
If THESE rules are ignored , the next lot of restrictions will make the current ones look tame by comparison .

So right Davo…..so much of this shit caused by fuckwits... thumbing their nose and deliberately ignoring the rules or recommendations. And laughing about it.

We'll id already made the decision to retire anyway so this has all become a little redundant as I was about to voluntarily self isolate anyway.
Living on acreage and having travelled for work for years i have about twelve months of pottering to do around the place mowing, gardening, riding, painting and drinking.
i snuck a ride in last week but even that seems a no no now
stay safe

My wife is a hairdresser so she is still working for the time being. I have a weight bench and some bars , dumbells and an exercise bike that I have been using and will continue to do so. My boat is in the marina about a half an hour away and as long as it is just me or my wife and I we are breaking no rules. There is always work on a boat, I go down to her at least once a week.
With me being "the kept man" there is always the house work, which i'm shit house at, but I do it. And other stuff

Just went down to get some staples for Tea tonight....
The place is like a fucking flood is on......So we bypassed the place and just settle for what's in the Fridge...
Panic buying is out of control here.....
Suppose to go and do a Diabetic test also sometime soon...
Fuck it. I'll let that blow over for a bit until this shit settles down..
Don't be fancying sitting in some waiting room for 2 hours drinking cordial and getting blood sucked....
And now the local dipshits are try to rally the local Gov...
They want Gladstone locked in completely....
All roads in and out closed....
Fucking dumb arse locals have been inhaling too much of the caustic drop out for far too long....

Yes Brother, if people would just LISTEN, there is plenty for everyone but everyone wants enough food NOW to live on for 3 months
I feel sorry for the elderly, and hope they get what they need

My son and his missus went into Ballarat to the Supermarket today around lunchtime and all we could say was 'good luck'.
When they came back about an hour and a half later they said that the supermarket was completely restocked except for toilet paper, and the meat section was chock-a-block with all meats. All shelves were full. Pasta, Rice, Milk, etc etc. All stocked.
They got everything they needed for the week, and they said there was hardly anyone there. They said it looked like a normal week.
This was at Woolies in the Delacombe shopping centre.
As of Midnight tonight (about 1 hour ago) we aren't allowed to go anywhere without a necessary reason, so I went bush today and dug up about 1 ton of gravels and brought it all home to run through my highbanker. It seems we can't even go bush to do prospecting so I brought the bush home to me

Well, I am still working from the office and at home. Managed to change the taillight bulb on the Rattler yesterday and also hooked up the battery charger on the Heriglide. The Charger is one of the newer ones that does an analysis of the batter and lets you know if it is fucked or not. Didn't see any flashing lights or beeping, so battery should charge up. Might bring the September wash and polish forward and get them both done in the next few weeks.......Will be getting out for a solo ride on Sunday and do a small loop. No dramas going for a ride if you just do a loop and don't stop.
