Yep..That great word ''Retirement is approaching most of us quickly.
I hoping to be retired in 2 years 6 months....Well on Long Service leave with a never to come back attached.
First plan is never to see another Sunrise...If I have to.
Through the bedroom window or sitting on the side of a creek....
Go the mighty QLDers.

Retirement is a great, now what to do.

Vintage tractors have a great following mate and the price you pay
for them is very reasonable for what you get    and the good
thing about them is they do not look any better being fully restored,
in fact they are a lot more desireable as they are found.

I have a couple sitting in my paddock right now, a nice old Fordson
and a Fiat, neither are mine just a mate stores them there.

Obviously the Case is a very rare find but their is still heaps just sitting
in paddocks waiting to be bought back to life.

EDIT: That Fordson runs like a gem with everything working fine and
is for sale at $2,500.

Yep Robo that sitting on the banks of the creek at home and catching a few perch and yabbies used to be fun  until the Perry council put in a frigging big bore for the Town water supply and sucked it mostly away and now most of the water holes in me creek are dry 40 percent  of the year .or sanded  up  still nice and peace full  when I am down there chopping lantana ...

Ya bluey, long way to drive the old Fordson back to Mtperry. i had an old Fordson and lent it to a bloke who was down on his luck to grow a few small crops about 18 years ago then he sold his place and just left it there the new owners recond  it came with the place until  i told em they could buy it of me for 5 grand so then i had to tow the thing 20 ks back home cause it wouldn't fire up the prick..   any way long story i ended giving it to a old bloke down the road last year and he has it running like new shit happens, I have a couple of grey fergies in the paddock one is a goer and I fire it up when I need to dig a few post holes .and slash the drive way. the other is parts only now.

I have zero hours hard labour left in me and about 2 weeks work, the government will allow me to retire in about 12 years but finances wont allow it until another 16,782 years.

Fang, do you know Andy who now lives at Mt Perry, mid 50's, stocky lil bloke who doesnt accept disrespect or bad manners

Post Re: Retirement Plan

Im thinking my retirement isn't that far off, Ive lost about $100,000 in this house over the past 2 years, so I wont have to much of a nest egg, only have about $150,000 in super.

So if I sold the house Ild have just over $300K in total, then what would I do.

Well one option is to move to the Philippines and make a honest woman out of my new love.
