Post Re Intro

Just thought I would re introduce myself. I have just sold my XR1200 and have purchased a Road king 2002 with a big Bore kit.
The bike has done 22k and is in excellent condition. All the screaming top end should be just run in. I might put knobbies on it and pull out stumps on our property.
The XR is a great bike that should have been further developed by Harley.  20KG lighter and 20 HP would be a good start.

I have had to adgust my riding style with the RK. It has a tendency to wheel spin on wet roads. A combination of my throttle hand the hard tyres  and the massive torque of the motor.
I work at LinkRideTek  - Motorcycle Training at Sandown Race Track Melbourne

I am planning to do some more touring on the Road King with my wife on the back. A bit more comfortable than the pillion of the XR. The seat was the size of a postage stamp.
I have been riding for over 4 decades and have made a few mistakes on the way but have managed to stay alive and still enjoy motorcycling.

regards,
marx

Thanks for the welcomes.
I don't know that much about the history of the bike. But it was an American import. Then hardly ridden. A 15 year old bike with 22k

It has leather bags but has a tacho, cruise control heated grips. Stainless brake lines and instrument lines. Spoked wheels. Screaming Eagle everything. And it pulls like a freight train.
It's green. Yep I will have to take a picture.
Is it a CVO or someone just spent a bucket of cash?

Same here charkey, I upgraded to the CVO Streety from my beloved Heritage a few years ago, she's a fair bit heavier, but the comfort is goood...(Don't mind her colour either)

My first attempt at getting some images up. I am pleased with the RK and it is looking prety for a 14 year old bike.

Is there any way that you can confirm what the displacement of the Screaming Eagle Big Bore kit is?

The seller told me he thinks it is 110 but then again he didn't know for sure. I just know it pulls more than any other big twin I've ridden.
